Kyle Sean-Douglas Bent (born August 12,1997) at the age of 15, simply known as Kyle Bent, is an aspiring songwriter and rapper from Randolph MA who is a wordsmith with a smooth flow and positive message. He first gain moderate attention after the release of his 2012 mixtape “ Bent Rules.” Later in June of the same year his mixtape “ the Catalyst” was released , almost overnight went twelve thousand plus downloads on Datpiff.com and within a couple days was placed on the list for “Hot This Week“ mixtapes. Kyle Bent is steadily gaining a loyal and diverse internet fan base as more music lovers discover his music everyday. Kyle was born in St Andrew, Jamaica to parents Clive and Arinathia Bent and migrated before he was the age of two to Randolph Massachusetts , a suburb of Boston , where he currently resides with both parents. He is now a sophomore at Randolph High School and is on his High School Basketball team. He has a passion for music and has a love for lyrics and word play.Through a close friend , Sean Fontes , Kyle was introduced to rap music at the age of 8. Sean showed him how to write lyrics , count bars, and how to flow on a beat. Since that time Kyle fell in love with this musical art form and never looked back. He started out writing and rapping gospel songs at his church and has since then entered competitions in Boston which helped him to gain more exposure for his music. In the summer of 2011, Kyle met up with Tarik McFarland, who gave him his first chance to record in a real studio. By July 2011, the young up and comer had already recorded a handful of songs fit to sky-rocket his career and had decided to drop his stage name “Kayogee” and go by his real name. It wasn’t until the February of 2012 that he final released his first official mixtape entitled ,”Bent Rules” .Consisting of 16 free-verses he recorded over industry instrumentals released from both before and after the year of 2000. Releasing “Bent Rules” allowed Kyle to build up a solid fan-base of more than 10k supporters. Recently, Kyle has just released his second official mixtape “The Catalyst”, along with 2 videos to help promote it. In under 24 hours, “The Catalyst” was put up on the front page of Datpiff.com for most mixtape views and the following day, was crowned “Hot this week” with more than fourteen thousand downloads. Via “Bent Rules” and “The catalyst”, Kyle Bent has now caught the eyes of many major blogs, websites, radio stations and music promoters. Kyle knows that breaking into the music scene as a rapper can be tough especially with the stigma that rap music carries . Kyle has been inspired by artists like B.O.B, XV and Chiddy Bang and has a very broad musical palette , which ranges from Rap, Pop, R&B, Soul to Gospel. Currently he’s unsigned, independent and is a member of hip-hop collective” Producerboyz” which currently engineers and produces most of his songs and beats.

It’s my Government lol
3. How did you get into the game?
I’ve been rapping for 6 years but I officially infiltrated the game early last year
4. So why do you rap? Is it like a hobby or a career move?
I rap because I love the hiphop culture, and music is something that motivates and drives me
5. Who inspires you/Who is your favorite rapper?
Someone who has always inspired me is the rapper XV. My favorite rappers right now are him and Ab-soul
6. What are you trying to bring to the game?
Positivity and a completely new style
